HC decision welcomed
ITANAGAR, Jun 02: The Arunachal Pradesh Unit of All India Trinmool Congress (AITC) welcomed the Gauhati High Court decision quashing the election of Gadam Ete.
Describing it as a land mark judgment by the Gauhati HC, the rank and file of the party in the state also termed it a victory of the democracy.
The Gauhati High Court, in a judgment yesterday set aside the election of Ete from Arunachal Pradesh in the 2009 Assembly election and declared his nearest rival Duter Padu of the Trinamool Congress elected with immediate effect.
ATA unit discusses teachers problem

Trace out missing EE: CWC
ITANAGAR, Jun 02: The Contractor Welfare Association (CWC) has demanded the authority concerned to find the whereabouts of Yazali PWD division EE, who has been reportedly absent from office duty since March 31 after he made agreement with genuine contractors to release their pending bills of road works from Jop to Silsango under NLCPR and Yazali to Mengio under RIDF schemes.
CWC in a release with supporting documents said that the EE had assured the contractors through an agreement to make their payment latest by April 25 without fail. But since then, the EE is not reportedly attending office and his whereabouts in not known, it said. It demanded the authority concerned to either locate him or publish a missing report failing which CWC has threatened to launch vigorous movement.
Amul introduces Amul PRO
Guwahati, Jun 02: Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul), India's largest food products marketing organisation announced the launch of Amul PRO, its net ‘Whey protein malt beverage brand.’

ATAYO seeks posting of force in Tali outpost
ITANAGAR, Jun 02: All Tali Area Youth Organization (ATAYO) has demanded immediate posting of police personnel at Tali outpost. The Tali police outpost was inaugurated in December 2011, but no any activities are seen for deployment of adequate personnel at Tali circle Hq, it said.

This is indeed a great achievement for an upcoming player, who hails from a state where Tennis is hardly played.
Born in 1998 at remote Kaying in West Siang district, Mingkhi started learning Tennis at a very young age at CRPF tennis court at Aalo. His father Dr. Tarik Talom working as District Leprosy Officer at DMO’s office Pasighat is a tennis enthusiast.
The Talom family hails from Jomoh village of Rumgong in West Siang district.
Mingkhi was sent to Delhi to attend training two years back due to non existence of a Tennis Court in Arunachal Pradesh, his father Dr. Talom said. Presently he is being trained by India’s Junior Davis Cup coach Vishal Uppal.
Though Mingkhi has been selected to go to Wholeistic Tennis Academy at New York. However his trip to USA is being delayed mainly due to hassle in getting passport and financial problem as well.
His father had applied for financial help and assistance to the Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, the Director of School Education and to the Secretary, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. But no response has been received so far, Dr. Talom rued.
According to his father Dr. Talom, playing tennis is very expensive. It requires a minimum of Rs. 20,000 for shoes only every month. He said that tennis players in other states are looked after by their respective government by providing financial assistance for taking part in tournaments. Players of those state, barring Arunachal Pradesh, are also provided free food and lodging facilities at their state Guest Houses during tournament,“ Dr. Talom said. Mingkhi, who has not yet attained 14 years of age, is regularly taking part in AITA Tennis tournaments all over the country. Recently, he participated in AITA Super Series Tennis Tournaments in Ludhiana and Chandighar and two National tournaments in Mumbai. He will be proceeding to Patna, Bihar for another two AITA Talent Series Tournaments after conclusion of the ongoing tournament in Guwahati.

ITANAGAR, June 2: The land donors of Khela, Bunting and Lamsa villages for Tirap Degree College (W R College) expressed resentment over the proposal of shifting the college from Charju to Deomali.
While condemning the Govt decision to establish a polytechnic college at Charju, the ‘permanent site’ for degree college, public leader of New Bunting village Kamrang Tesia said that the land donors of Khela, Bunting and Lamsa villages had donated 200 acres of land free of cost in 1993 for establishment of the college at Charju, not for any other purposes. The villagers threatened to withdraw the ‘Deed gift agreement’ if the Degree college site is shifted from Charju to Deomali.

3rd mass cleanliness drive at Daporijo organized

the Department of Urban Development conducted its third 3rd mass cleanliness drive-
Hundreds of participants from various NGOs, youths, student organizations, panchayat leaders, heads of offices, officials and publics actively took part in the event. They clean the BRO (main) road from “D’Hiris complex upto forest Tinali and adjoining areas.
This cleanliness drive was organized as a follow up action of resolutions adopted in a mass meeting last month for weekly mass cleanliness drive to beautify Daporijo. Other resolutions of the meeting included compulsory maintenance of household dustbin, proper disposal of garbage, introduction of user fees in markets for maintaining the assets, appointment of volunteers, erecting informative hoardings in vital locations for mass awareness, holding of awareness campaign and meetings in every sector, market fortnightly.
The New Deputy Commissioner of Daporijo Tahang Taggu while participating the cleanliness drive assured the market committee to shift the existing meat and fish daily market to the newly constructed DUDA Meat market near Siggin bridge which he opined as most suitable place from hygienic point of view. This is in response to “ Open Letter to the Chief Minister” .
I would like to draw the attention of masses in general and unemployed competent doctors in particular regarding the regularisation of over 70 NRHM contractual doctors by violating the norms of their contract.
I appreciate the doctors especially those who are serving in the remote areas but then their profession demands that. If they are not willing to serve the people of the state then they should not join the profession. I completely disagree with the demand of the doctors for regularising their service simply on the ground that the service of their fellow NRHM doctors have been regularised.
The demand of APDA is very genuine. In fact, regularisation of all the contractual doctors should be cancelled and the entire vacant seats should be given to APPSC for fair selection. Further, the grievance of those doctors whose service haven’t been regularised cannot be solved by regularising them because though a wrong has been done by the authority, it cannot be rectified by committing another mistake.
Therefore, I earnestly request the APDA for demanding the cancellation of all the regularisation orders and those seats may be advertised through the APPSC for open and fair competition.

Dear Editor,
Regularisation of over 70 NRHM contractual doctors without conducting any written examination is not fair on the part of the health department, especially when it is clearly written in their contract that their service cannot be regularised.
My question to the authority is, when they have decided to appoint the doctors through APPSC then why they regularised the contractual service of NRHM doctors while violating the norms of contract, thereby prejudicing the unemployed competent doctors.
Though they have been appointed two months back but since their appointment itself is invalid, they can be terminated from their service any time. Further, their regularisation cannot be taken as ground for continuing their service.
Therefore, I request all the civil society to fight against such corrupt practices for the betterment of our society. Let all the vacant seats be filled up through APPSC for fair selection.

Arunachal Unemployed Veterinary Doctors' Association (AUVDA) would like to express grievances regarding increased unemployment problem being faced by the Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) graduates in the state.

It is learnt that since late 70's there is no creation of Veterinary Officer (VO) posts in the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary..
Where does the lacunae originate; the department or the state Government?
All the VOs being recruited by the department against posts because of retirement, promotional, expiry and surrendered vacancies till date. It is also learnt from some reliable sources that there will be hardly one VO post available annually for recruitment based on the retirement and promotion by the end of 2014 onwards.
Other departments of the state create various professional and technical posts to reduce the unemployment problems every year. The best example is the recent creation of 50 new sanctioned posts for recruitment of Medical Officers (Allopathy) in the department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh. Though we undergo B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course by competing with the fellow friends and spending all the hard earned money of our poor parents with a hope to get employed in the state govt but due to non creation of posts in the state veterinary departments, there is many fold increase in unemployed B.V.Sc. & A. H. graduates every year along with increase in the numbers of B.V.Sc. & A.H. graduates who are in the verge of crossing upper age limit for Veterinary Officers examination as well as other state govt jobs. '

Through your esteemed daily, I would like to request the GoAP to facilitate the transaction of salaries of government servants of a few departments through the State Cooperative Apex Bank. Firstly, the Apex Bank is our own bank.
Secondly, government servants who are SBI customers have to take casual leave for every minor or major banking transaction, and many a time have to spare a full day standing in long queues. Further, putting the Apex Bank in this position would help promote the bank as ‘Apna Bank’.
